John Germaine is a successful jazz saxophonist and Elaine's boyfriend. Although Elaine thinks he's sponge-worthy, and Jerry says that, as a musician, he must be very uninhibited and free, Elaine reveals that John doesn't really like to do... everything.
An innocent remark from Jerry moves John to compose for Elaine a new song called «Hot and Heavy». Then the saxophonist finally decides to add a new number to his repertoire, but after their private performance he will not be able to play the saxophone again. Elaine ruined his career.
