Jerry is offered two free tickets from New York City to Hollywood to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He offers one to George and they decide that while they are in Los Angeles they will track down Kramer, who headed to Los Angeles to become an actor. When Jerry and George are at the NBC studio, Jerry leaves and Corbin Bernsen enters through a stage door. He stands near George, obviously waiting for someone. George strikes up a conversation with Corbin telling him that he has a case for L.A. Law.
The case involves a George's girlfriend and her cat.
According to George, he's only going out with her two or three weeks. So she goes out of town and asks George to feed her cat. George forgets and the cat dies.
When the girlfriend comes back into town, she finds the cat lying on the carpet stiff as a board. She aks George to buy her a brand new cat, but George refuses. He needs an autopsy report that says this cat died of starvation.
