Ruthie works a cashier in Monk's.
George becomes obsessed with her when she gives him change for $10, when he believes he gave her a $20 bill that he doodled on.
Later, he spots Ruthie at the park riding on horses (presumably on his money).
Finally Ruthie wants the parking spot where George's car (the Jon Voight's car) is parked. When George confronted her, the LeBaron convertible took fire.
