Owen March is a writer whom Elaine dated in The Alternate Side.
He is much older than she is, and at first she finds him exciting. She eventually decides to break up with him, but he suffers a stroke before she can do it, and she breaks up with him while he is in the hospital and unable to speak.
She later met him on the subway (fully recovered), where he had moved on and claimed to have been using Elaine, just for sex.
